Prep & Boarding School Placement

Private schools can be selective in which students they accept. The more prestigious or elite the school, the more selective they will be. Likewise, selecting the right school is a very personal choice for families. For parents who decide to pursue a prep or a boarding school education, our guidance gained from experience will be invaluable to making the best decision for your family.

College Planning

Today, college planning is a team effort that involves students, parents, and school professionals. There are many reasons families need the extra support: College costs are skyrocketing, admissions are increasingly competitive, and schools set high expectations in terms of essays, test scores, and extracurriculars. Our advisors are experts at navigating these processes and can help guide families to make smart choices to prepare for the future.

Concierge Care

Sound Consulting recognizes that all boarding schools and many colleges and universities require international students to have a “local” guardian on record. We provide comprehensive concierge care in a family centered way to help students settle into a new school or college, and thrive thereafter. By giving this level of expert care to the student we give parents a peace of mind that is critical.

International Students

Sound Consulting principals have worked with hundreds of students from abroad to find just the right match boarding school and/or college. Our team has on-the-ground experience working with international students in boarding schools and colleges that provides them with first hand experience in understanding the needs and goals of students from abroad.

“My son’s admissions journey, during this stressful high-school-to-college year, was made smooth by this terrific team.”
